my girl

So the other day I asked my awesomely talented sister (who designed my blog logo) if she wanted to add some art to my blog, or if she wanted me to feature some of her drawings, because who knows. She emailed me back to tell me my blog looked cold. I don’t care, because I’m Grandma’s favorite grandchild.

Hi. I’m Oren and I write on A Blogger and a Father, a blog that started cynically (“So I have this domain. What should I put here?”) but has grown into an obsession. I thought I’d introduce myself here, in case any of you readers/writers has stumbled upon my blog but quickly ran away because it was so cold.

I have two kids (THAT I KNOW OF, haha. But really, that I know of). They yell at me from 7am to 9pm. Sometimes they cry because they hate couscous or because one of them wanted to close the door but the other one did, and it’s not fair. Sometimes we watch Wonder Pets together, thinking what the hell happened to our youthful spunk. Mostly, I do that.

My wife has a career. She’s just smart enough to make it in the real world, but not smart enough to find a husband with better hair. I also have an old Pit Bull with a sad face.

I also have a BA in something or other.

I was born in Israel. Now I live in Baltimore, the cultural center of eastern Maryland. For a few years in my twenties I lived in London, where I prepared myself to parenthood by staying up late and by reminding myself that when music is being played, the wisest thing to do is dance.

Thanks, Tommy, for inviting me here. I guarantee you will regret it in the morning.
