My daughter is turning 2 years old this week and recently went from her crib to a “Big Girl Bed”.

My wife and I tried to make the transition as easy as possible. We made sure she had a step stool to get into the bed, a night light so she wouldn’t be scared and even remembered to put up the netting so she wouldn’t roll out.

As she is getting more used to sleeping in this new bed, we’ve starting noticing small things that peaked our interest a bit.

At first we thought it was an oversight. She’d go to bed with her favorite blanket and a clean room but when we’d go in to get her in the morning, her room was a mess with toys and clothes everywhere.

Hmmm, we must have forgotten to clean up last night. Not that strange considering how tiring a 2 and 4 year old can be. No big deal, life goes on.

A few more nights went by like this and then we started to notice that we were unable to find our little girl when going to get her in the mornings….Where did she go??? All I could see was toys everywhere in her bed!

This was about the time that we realized what was happening. She must be getting out of her bed in the middle of the night to collect toys and clothing to snuggle with. The strange part is that my wife and I still have a monitor set up in her room and haven’t heard a thing….Is it possible that she gets out of bed without us hearing her?

Either that, or the toys can move and they’re all working together on their plan for world domination! But that’s crazy right? Right?

It’s a scary thought that she’s getting in and out of the bed without so much as a peep. Especially considering she;s a two year old, in the dark, who could do something dangerous in a split second. We’ve been coming to terms with the fact that she’s growing up but it still weighs on your mind.

It also makes you wonder what else she’s getting into that we don’t even know about…..

I think I’ve said too much now. Woody? Buzz? What are you guys doing here??? You can move and talk??

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Tell your friends, the world will be ours!! Muahahaha!!!” “To Infinity and Beyond!!”

Sincerely,
Woody and Buzz
