That's me, with incredible comics Don Friesen and Drake Witham

I’m very grateful today.  Last night was Life of Dad’s Stand-up Comedy Night benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Friends came out for the event.  Families were there.  Some of the best and funniest comics in the country performed, talking fatherhood.

That’s right…all of the comics are dads, and most of the audience were parents.

I can’t even tell you how great the vibe in the room was.  The audience was rolling, the comics had a blast, and it was a really special night.

Here’s why…

When I looked around the audience I saw other families who’s babies required life-saving open-heart surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.  Families that we would have never known, if our children weren’t born with these devastating heart defects.

But last night, thanks to the brilliance of the comics, and the great venue, we had put all that aside, and were having the time of our life.

On another level, this was a groundbreaking day for Life of Dad.  We streamed the show live throughout the world.  We had people tuning in from multiple countries watching and enjoying the show.  It was a truly special night.

So today, again, I’m just truly grateful.

We raised money for a great cause, and had one of the most memorable nights of my life.

When my wife and I got home, both of our HEALTHY kids were still awake at 11PM.  Awesome.
