30 Dads, 30 Days - 2012
May 27, 2012
On each of the 30 days leading up to Father’s Day, Life of Dad will feature a different incredible father from around the world.
Today we meet Nick Bhasin, an American father living in Sydney Australia. Nick has a great website, Daddy’s Little Miracle, which keeps us up to speed with his almost two year old son. Here is Nick’s interview from down under…
I really became a father when… I looked in my newborn baby’s eyes… and remembered all those other kids I had in different countries.
My son makes me laugh when… he gets angry.  Because I know there’s nothing he can do about it.  He’s smaller than me!
Favorite daddy cocktail once the kids crash? Red wine before, during and after the kids crash.
Dream date night with your lady, where would you go? Dear God, how I love red wine… wait, what?  Oh, um, the Ikea cafeteria.  I think she likes that.
What is the hardest thing about fatherhood? Navigating the choppy waters of psychological warfare.
What’s in your man cave? My framed poster of Grease signed by the cast of Grease 2 and a Slip’n'slide.
How many hours of sleep each night? 6-7 on average.
What food that your kids eat do you like the most? Prepackaged fried chicken.
How has fatherhood changed in the last 20 years? There seems to be a lot less emphasis these days on scotch, being left alone and emotional barrenness.  Ah, the good old days.
Dream family vacation? Red wine.  Oh, um, Fuddruckers?
Keep up with Nick Bhasin at Daddy’s Little Miracle, and make sure you follow him on Twitter.
