On each of the 30 days leading up to Father’s Day, Life of Dad will feature a different great dad from around the world.

Today we feature Gregory Keer, great husband, father to three boys (14, 10, 7), and creator of the popular parenting site, FamilyManOnline.com.  Make sure you head over there and check out his site, but first read Gregory’s interview here…

I really became a father when… I took my 2 1/2-year-old first born for a poop in a baseball-stadium bathroom. I really tried to make him hold it till we got home, but it was the second inning and I put his comfort over my clean-freakiness. I became a real man, let alone a next-level father, on that day.

My kids makes me laugh…  they imitate me. I must truly look like an idiot to them, sometimes.

Favorite daddy cocktail once the kids crash?  It’s all too rare, but a beer with a buddy at a local pub is just the ticket.

Dream date night with your lady, where would you go?  A hotel by the beach with room service and no wake-up call.

What is the hardest thing about fatherhood?  Knowing when to control the situation and when to let things take their course.

What’s in your man cave? Everything that should be in the garage since my kids took over the garage as their playroom.

How many hours of sleep each night?  6 1/2 – 7 hours now that the kids are a bit older.

What food that your kids eat do you like the most?  Cap’n Crunch with Crunchberries (we rarely let them eat it and when we do, I eat most of it).

How has fatherhood changed in the last 20 years?   Dads care more about the hourly details of their kids. We want to be involved for our own self-interest since our egos are much more tied to being a good parent than ever.

Dream family vacation?  Hawaii is the goal. The beach makes me a much calmer person and the kids love to play without a schedule.

Be sure to go and check out Gregory’s funny and informational website, Family Man Online.  Also, follow Gregg on Facebook and Twitter!
