Summer 2012 on Cape Cod
I recently found this website and was asked to blog … too many friends that have to listen to me over the last two years have been encouraging me to share my story. Â The ups and downs of being an involved daddy … that lives 1700 miles away from his two little boys who are only 6 and 4 years old. Â On this first blog, I want to 1) see if I save my typing the right way and 2) see if anybody is really listening (lol!)
I am 45 years old and have a 6 and 4 year old little boy. Â Two years ago, I was literally tossed out of my house. Â The place I said would be the last place I ever lived, my dream house, the place I wanted my kids to grow up and my wife and I to grow old in … the place where the kids would come visit when they were adults and comment how small their rooms felt and recall the times they spent playing in the cul de sac and basement … so much for my fairy tale ending …
I live on Cape Cod … the coolest place in the world … my little boys live outside of Shreveport, Louisiana … or as I’ve endearing renamed it “Shrevepit” (sorry if you are from there … then again, you may agree).
I hope keep this positive and share some of the things I do to stay as involved as I possibly can from 1700 miles away …
