Summer is always family time for me.  I work as the audience warm-up comic for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and we have summers off.  It’s kind of like I’m still in college…but with a lovely wife and two kids! For the past week, we’ve been doing fun summer stuff, and sporting around in style.  That’s […]

“Hi, I’m Derek”: The Day I Met Derek Jeter

I was waiting in the VIP area at the Sheraton in New York City for my chance to meet a baseball legend.  He wanted to meet me.  What?  Why?  How? Derek Jeter approached me, stuck out his hand, and simply said, “Hi, I’m Derek.” I was nervous from the moment I was asked to host […]

Hey Dad – I Want To Make You Proud
Hey Dad – I Want To Make You Proud

Starting at a young age, boys want to impress their dads.  I see it now with my two-year old son.  When he finishes a puzzle piece or cleans up his toys, he looks at me, raises his hands, and screams “I did it!” My son is looking for approval.  Smiling at me.  Hoping, even from a […]
