Captain’s Log.  Summer Break Chronicles.  Week 1.  The Captain is on Summer Break.  Don’t hate. Don’t worry.  Despite the fact that the students are gone, I will still be working the whole summer.  Gotta put your work in during the off-season to have a good regular season, right?

Well, one of the unfortunate things during the school year is that I do not have time to “go out to lunch”.  Occasionally, during the summer I will have this opportunity.  And when I do, I seize the moment.  Such was the case this week when some friends suggested we go to “Boogie Burger” for lunch. I had to write about this experience.  Have you seen the picture?

The Captain loves burgers and considers them to be a staple of the American diet.  The Captain is also a fan of the breaded chicken sandwich.  Enough of a fan that, at times, choosing a sandwich to order can be difficult.  This was not the case at Boogie Burger.

The Captain ordered something called the “Cluck & Moo”.  Think about.  It makes perfect sense.  One part cow.  One part chicken.  And just to make sure that the pig didn’t feel left out, the Captain added a couple of strips of bacon on top.  The side?  Garlic fries.

Epic meal.  I was slightly apprehensive about the marriage of cow, chicken, and pig under one bun, but it was actually quite delicious.  The meal was awesome.

I think the only thing missing from the Boogie Burger menu is the Bacon Burger Dog.

What is your dream food combination?
