Turkey Madness is upon us. So is the college basketball tournament that we all love to watch. One thing that goes hand in hand with watching the madness is making sure you have something delicious to snack on. The games start in the afternoon and go all throughout the evening. I made a recipe that is very easy to make so that you don’t miss any of the action. It is called the Ballin’ BBQ Turkey Sub.
It is an updated version on a classic sub. Instead of marinara sauce I used barbeque sauce. So if you are looking for a tasty treat while you are watching the games and refreshing your bracket every ten seconds this recipe is a slam dunk.
Ingredients:
Shady Brook Farms Italian Style Turkey Meatballs
1 and ¼ cup Ketchup
¾ cup barbeque sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
Garlic powder
Pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the meatballs on a baking dish. In a small mixing bowl, combine ingredients for the sauce and then pour barbecue sauce over the meatballs. Bake for 1 hour. Turn the meatballs over halfway through cooking in the oven. Serve the meatballs on a sub. Top with any other fixings you and your family would like on that sub.
