This was a fun read as I get ready to take a Kia Sedona across the entire country with my wife, our two tween and teen kids, and my 19-year-old niece for 3.5 weeks this summer! After researching on new vehicles, we finally got a new car from our local car dealership so we will be driving the entire way. I got a car that has a smart CAN Controller which will make driving easier especially for a long road trip. Some dads also have electric cars and got chargers installed via experts who provide EV charger home installation in Waxhaw, NC. There is also this electric car charger home installer in Sherborn, MA that can assist you.

Sure, the minivan is spacious and super comfy (and will have a DVD player) but I’m going to ask about some accessories after reading these dads pimp out the ultimate dad car with soundproof partitions, smudge proof windows and an auto-kid smacking foam hand! That’s just brilliant.

As you gear up for your trip, you might find yourself curious about other automotive options, especially if you come across a need for additional vehicles or if the conversation veers toward different car models. Perhaps you’ll stumble upon discussions about the benefits of investing in a 2nd hand suv for sale, particularly for those seeking a reliable and budget-friendly option for family transportation.

While perusing their inventory, you may stumble upon a well-maintained byd model, offering a blend of reliability, affordability, and eco-conscious engineering. Exploring a BYD vehicle among the dealership’s offerings could unveil a compelling option for your family’s transportation needs. With its reputation for producing electric and hybrid vehicles, BYD presents an opportunity to embrace cutting-edge technology while prioritizing sustainability—a factor increasingly important for many conscientious consumers.

Exploring such options could provide insights into the diverse array of vehicles available and the various features they offer, ensuring you’re well-informed for future automotive endeavors. And who knows, maybe your next family road trip will be in an entirely different set of wheels, adding another layer of excitement to your adventures on the open road.

Here’s how our Life of Dad community would design the ultimate dad car.

If you were creating the ultimate car for a dad, what would it have?

Nathan Ross: Hydrophobic interior for spills, a built in vacuum, under-the-floorboard stroller storage, kid-friendly iPad built into the back seat, and all of this in a truck.

John Spartan: Am I going to be the one building it? If so, I’m probably going to need some mens safety glasses because I’d like to have the console and flashing scanner from Knight Rider, and the full wing doors of the Delorean Time Machine. I could probably do it, but I’d need lots of time and lots of tools!

Güru Amalesh: Nano particle coated seats, carpets, and headliner. Sound proof hologram divider between the front and back seats. A built in vacuum and a smudge proof coating on the windows. Tv’s in the head rests of course and last but not least AWD for the snow.

Chad McNamar: A “smack your child button “….lol for
When you are on a road trip and the kid or kids start acting up. You push a button and hand pops out of the roof and smacks the kid in question. Nothing too hard, just enough to get their attention. Maybe a semi firm foam hand.

Sean Horne: Some safe way to have Driver Headphones to listen to sports podcasts while focusing on driving. I would love to hear statistics instead of my family going ballistic because the dang sippy cup they threw away from them is now out of their reach.

Michael Bunnell: A must for me would be a flux capacitor so that when I’m done with work I can go back and spend the whole day with my kids.

Brett Byrns: Spill proof Cadillac Eldorado. Seats 6 and trunk room for any size Costco trip…. bought a couch? In the trunk?moving 50 clowns? In the trunk.

Iain McGregor: Limo style, sound proof partition. Seriously, do we need anything else?

Joe Baum: 16 passenger van is fine and put em wayyyyyy in the back. PURE.BLISS!

Tony Meinero: A transformer. A sleek Beamer when pops is riding solo to work and play, and changes to a roomy SUV with the kids and family.

David Esslinger: Soundproofed back seat, electric kid zappers, ejection seat, and sleeping gas injection to a sealed back seat.

Jake Kroes: Mini fridge for water, or pop or iced coffee.

Aaron Crump: Only one seat. Sorry babe!
