I first became aware of Andrew Bird through his super strange video for the beautiful song Lull, that details the love affair of a man and his giant squid. Since then I’ve loved this singer/ violinist and all of the stylistic transformations his music has gone through. Pulling in elements of just about every genre you can think of, his music is truly unique and always exciting. It’s like pop-classical-jazz-swing with hints of folksy rock. It all blends seamlessly with his poetic lyricism and it’s awesome. Add him to your rotations.
