It’s 3 o’clock in the morning, East Coast time. I’m sitting in my appartment like I usually do nowadays, parked in a pompazon chair in front of the television. Tonight is another night of insomnia, some hours pass like seconds, others pass like days. My brain is packed with ideas of how to spend my time.
My day is pretty much the same, I get my work done, I take care of the appartment, and I take care of the little one. Deep inside I’m rolling ideas around, bouncing them about and breaking them down. Figuring out exactly how it will work, and knowing that it can work.
I’m thinking about my profession.
I’m thinking about what I can be, and what my company can be. What my family can be, what my life can be, and what life I can give the ones I love. These days though, I don’t act on it as I should. I spend most of my time on my projects just thinking about them instead of putting them into play.
No more.
The signs are all around me, as is the inspiration. While I sit playing with my daughter, filled with doubt about what the future holds and how I’d LIKE it to go, the world is swirling around me telling me I’m right. I’ve been thinking the right ideas all along.
YOU’VE BEEN THINKING IT ALL ALONG DUMMY!
Dear Ben,
This is the universe. Look, we just wanted to let you know that you need to stop mopeing around and get to work. Look at the past 6 months, hell, the past TWO YEARS! Every time you’ve actually DONE something that you thought was a good, progressive idea, it’s been successfull. So grab something to eat and get to it brother. Our time is short, and all the signs point to YOU’VE GOT THIS. Time to stop doubting and start doing.
Sincerely,
The Universe
It’s true…..whenever i’ve put an idea together and carried it out, it’s ended up working and being successfull. Whenever i’ve allowed myself to be creative, it’s paid off. Maybe not every single time in every single way, but there it is. All laid out. I can do this.
Besides the fact, that if there is any Motivational Poster that’s ended up being true, it’s the one that says “Every time you fail is a learning experience to gain success.”
Alright self, finish typing this up, post the damn thing, and get to work.
Sometimes, following your “gut” actually works out.
The only thing holding you back is yourself. Take that leap of faith. Cause if we don’t have faith in ourselves, what can we truely believe in?
